The Ian G. Thompson Foundation was founded in honor of Ian G. Thompson who passed away from pancreatic cancer December 30, 2012. He battled the disease for almost ten months. In the wake of his passing, his wife, Jane Morgan, and daughter, Eliana Thompson, setup the foundation to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer in the Greater New Orleans and Southern Louisiana communities. And to provide information and a platform for others affected by this disease to connect. The purpose of the Ian G. Thompson Foundation is to first - raise awareness, and second - raise funds for research, in the local community. Annually, the foundation hosts the Purple Pants Party, which is the primary fundraiser for the foundation. The next chance to Party in Purple is almost here!
